Welcome to Sargasso & Grey. We are glad you found us and, if you are fed up with wearing shoes that are too narrow and leave your feet feeling squeezed and squashed, you will also be glad you found us!
We are a British shoe company with a passion for creating exquisite shoes that feel as amazing as they look, whatever the occasion.
Established in 2014, by wide footed founder Katie Owen, the company has grown organically, expanding our collections to include occasion wear, flats, boots and sneakers, all in a wider fitting. We are delighted to count celebrities, royalty and, well, just lots of really lovely normal people as loyal customers. What we all have in common is wide or tricky feet and a desire to wear pair of shoes that finally make us feel like Cinderella!
The secret to Sargasso & Grey’s success is based on two core principles:
1) We make exceptional quality shoes that are designed to be stylish but also incorporate technical features that enhance comfort levels, even in heels.
2) We strive to deliver excellent, reliable, and trustworthy customer service to give you an exceptional shopping experience.
Sargasso & Grey is very much a female led organisation. From design to delivery, every detail of the shoes, from the shape of the toe box to the height of the heel, is thought out, tried, and tested by women who actually wear the shoes. Our ongoing engagement with our customers means we are constantly adapting our designs to ensure the optimum fit in the most elegant styles.
Our fulfilment centre is also owned female owned, led and run (with the exception of two very sweet dachshunds called Arthur and Oscar!)
Our story began when founder Katie set out to create shoes that women would not only love to look at, but love to live in. Guided by her own search for elegant footwear that didn't compromise on comfort, she has built Sargasso & Grey on the belief that footwear should bring both style and wellbeing.

From luxurious soft leathers and considered shapes, to the skill of our makers, nothing is rushed or wasteful. We choose quality over quantity, restraint over excess, and timelessness over trends.

Wider toe boxes provide feet with space to breathe, and feature our unique Smooth & Soothe seam- free cushioned linings that envelop the entire toe box to prevent irritation for sensitive feet, whilst our leather insoles, containing two layers of memory foam padding, cushion each step.
