Mary Jane shoes are a timeless investment, with a style history spanning over a century.

This classic design—defined by its closed, rounded toe and instep strap—officially became known as the Mary Jane in the early 1900s. The name was inspired by the character in the popular American comic strip Buster Brown (first published in 1902), whose image was licensed by the Brown Shoe Company.
